Choose between MKTG 454 or MGMT 454 for the course to take abroad. Each student takes one course only.
MKTG 454 can apply to the Marketing Major Elective area.
MGMT 454 can apply to the Management Major Elective area.
Either course can apply to:
- the Global Commerce Major for BUSN 448;
- the Business Minor for BUSN 448; or
- the International Culture and Business Minor.

This course examines key aspects of management and marketing in the EU. Particular emphasis will be placed on gaining contextual understanding of how marketing and management function in an international context.
MGMT 454: The management course will explore several of the strategic and operational challenges facing multi-national European firms and the EU business environment, including the cultural, political, economic, social, technological, and legal dimensions.
MKTG 454: The topics for the marketing course include an analysis of culture, consumer behavior, branding, product positioning, and marketing strategy.

Student with a Valid Passport:
Students who have a current passport will need to upload an image of their passport by December 1, 2023 to their enrollment forms.
Student without a Valid Passport
Apply for or renew your passport immediately. After November 1, students must pay to expedite the application process. Do not delay beginning this process.
Application & Renewal Website:
The routine processing time is currently up to 13 weeks and expedited services is up to 9 weeks. We highly recommend applying for or renewing your passport as soon as possible. Most countries require at least 6 months remaining time on your passport expiration from your intended date of departure. Example: If your passport expires December 1, 2024, you would need to renew your passport to travel in the summer 2024.
