PSYC 306 History and Systems of Psychology Information Session: Thursday, August 27 at 6 PM Jefferson Room DSU This course will present the philosophical, medical and physiological, and anthropological antecedents of psychological science. The history of psychology, the pertinence of scientific inquiry to psychology, and distinguishing characteristics of the major systems in psychology or "schools of thought" will be presented through lectures, site visits, guest speakers, museum visits, and student discussion. Requirements for Program 1. Completion of PSYC 201 and 202. 2. Overall GPA of 2.5. 3. Preference given to psychology majors and minors
