Program Description

COMM 321WI: Communication and Film (Prerequisite: ENGL 223 or Honors Status) and COMM 340: Intercultural Communication (Fulfills the AIGM requirement)

The 1,000+ -year-old Grand Duchy of Luxembourg has a rich history and culture. As a founding member of the European Union, it is the seat of many European institutions (including the European Court of Justice & parts of the European Commission). Today, world banking and finance comprise much of the nation's economy, while nature tours comprise a significant portion of the tourist trade. Along with these, its small size and central Northern European location make Luxembourg an exciting destination to study a variety of aspects of communication and to explore differences between the U.S. and Northern European film and standards of deviance/acceptable media use.
