BUSN 418 – Strategic Management – A Global Perspective Strategic Management entails making long-range plans for business organizations. This course utilizes business case studies, company visits and class discussion to examine global corporate strategies. The course is designed to integrate and apply skills acquired throughout the business core curriculum. Beyond the social and cultural dimensions that the program explores, the course will focus on developing an increased understanding of global strategy while exploring international business opportunities and challenges. Based in Paris, and Bordeaux France, this program provides an immersive experience designed to develop and deepen a global mindset. The course is structured to give students an opportunity to obtain personal familiarity with the global environment while gaining an understanding of issues faced by global managers in France (World’s 7th largest economy) and the European Union (World’s 2nd largest economy).
